Dixon Technologies (India) Limited, a leading contract manufacturer in India, has announced the formation of a 50:50 joint venture with global lighting giant Signify. The newly incorporated entity, Lightanium Technologies Private Limited, will operate as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for lighting products and accessories, with a focus on building advanced manufacturing capabilities aligned with India’s growing demand and regulatory landscape.

Lightanium was incorporated on June 26, 2025, and officially funded on July 8, 2025, with Dixon subscribing to 25,00,000 equity shares at ₹10 each, amounting to a cash investment of ₹2.5 crore. The entity is headquartered in India and will focus on high-efficiency, regulation-compliant lighting components and products.

This strategic partnership is not a related-party transaction and falls in line with Dixon’s broader vision to strengthen its presence in the electronics and lighting manufacturing ecosystem. The new venture will combine Dixon’s execution and scale with Signify’s global lighting expertise, helping meet both domestic and global OEM demand in a regulatory environment focused on compliance, quality, and local value addition.

While Lightanium is in its initial phase and yet to commence operations, it is expected to be instrumental in developing an agile, scalable, and compliant lighting OEM infrastructure in India.
