Bharat Forge Limited (BFL), a global leader in manufacturing and engineering solutions, has successfully concluded the acquisition of AAM India Manufacturing Private Limited (AAM India), following approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) on April 22, 2025.

The acquisition, originally announced on October 17, 2024, has been finalized at an equity value of ₹7,464.6 million, which includes ₹1,894.8 million cash on AAM India’s books. The available cash reserves are expected to bolster future growth initiatives for the combined entity. The final consideration is subject to customary net working capital adjustments as of June 30, 2025.

With this acquisition, Bharat Forge is strengthening its position in the automotive manufacturing sector, adding a company that has built a strong reputation supplying advanced components to leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including those in the traditional and New Mobility segments.

“This acquisition aligns with our long-term vision of becoming a comprehensive solution provider to automotive OEMs across the globe,” the company said in a statement. “AAM India brings with it a formidable product portfolio and deep relationships across the mobility ecosystem, which will complement our existing offerings and drive synergies in both domestic and global markets.”

The strategic move is expected to enhance Bharat Forge’s ability to deliver integrated component and system-level solutions, while reinforcing its footprint in emerging technologies and sustainable mobility.
