JSW Infrastructure Limited has successfully completed the acquisition of the slurry pipeline business from its wholly owned subsidiary, JSW Utkal Steel Limited, for ₹1,617 crore (subject to closing adjustments). This acquisition marks a significant milestone in strengthening JSW Infrastructure’s logistics capabilities for iron ore transportation in Odisha.

Additionally, JSW Infrastructure has entered into a long-term take-or-pay agreement with JSW Steel Limited for a period of 20 years. Under this agreement, the company will transport iron ore slurry from Nuagaon mines to Jagatsinghpur via the newly acquired slurry pipeline.

Strategic Importance of the Acquisition

This acquisition follows the shareholders’ approval obtained via postal ballot on January 26, 2025, and aligns with JSW Infrastructure’s vision to expand its logistics footprint in the steel and mining sectors.

The company previously disclosed transaction details in its July 19, 2024, intimation as per SEBI regulations.

This development underscores JSW Infrastructure’s commitment to bolstering India’s industrial and logistical infrastructure, facilitating efficient resource movement across key steel-producing.
