KPI Green Energy Sets Industry Benchmark with IBM Maximo Renewables Deployment

KPI Green Energy Ltd. has successfully deployed IBM Maximo Renewables across its 1.4+ GW portfolio of solar, wind, and hybrid assets spread across more than 73 sites. This strategic rollout marks a significant leap toward data-driven operations, integrating real-time performance monitoring directly into KP Group’s Network Operations Centre (NOC). The result is a seamless, unified view of asset health and revenue metrics for analysts, site teams, and investors alike.

The platform has delivered clear operational and financial advantages. Live, automated dashboards now eliminate manual data processing, saving analyst hours and enabling real-time revenue tracking. With over 9,000 component-level analytics running continuously, KPI can now detect micro-level issues early, reducing unplanned downtime and safeguarding energy yield. This predictive capability is expected to lower energy loss per work order by 2–5%, directly enhancing EBITDA by transforming operations and maintenance (O&M) from a cost center into a value driver.

The company has also onboarded over 120 commercial and industrial (C&I) clients and completed implementation across 100+ projects within 3–4 weeks each, accelerating returns from the second month itself. Enhanced reporting transparency and 100% compliance with generation guarantees have further strengthened investor and lender confidence.

Additional strategic benefits include a fully integrated Monitor-Operate-Analyse ecosystem that standardizes both preventive and corrective maintenance. The system’s link to KP Group’s NOC supports real-time fleet oversight, enabling smarter, faster dispatch decisions. Clients, particularly those on Captive Power Producer (CPP) contracts, now have access to live generation and compliance data via web and mobile portals—boosting trust and long-term loyalty.

KPI Green Energy’s technology-first approach has also gained international recognition, with IBM citing the company as a case study for digital excellence in the renewables sector.

“IBM Maximo Renewables has lifted our operations to a new level. The platform gives us live, crystal-clear information that we—and our investors—can rely on, and it helps our teams spot and fix performance dips before they become problems,” said Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Founder, Chairman & MD of KP Group.

With this deployment, KPI Green Energy is not only improving operational resilience but also setting new benchmarks for sustainable, efficient, and investor-transparent energy generation in India’s renewables sector.
