Kross Ltd Q2 FY27 Results: Revenue Hits ₹235 Crore as Auto Component Business Gains Momentum

Kross Ltd has delivered a strong financial performance in the second quarter of FY27, reporting sharp growth in revenue, operating profit and net earnings. The results highlight improving business momentum for the auto component manufacturer.

The company announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, following its board meeting on October 17.

Revenue from operations increased 79.6% year-on-year to ₹235.09 crore, compared with ₹130.92 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26.

This represents an increase of more than ₹104 crore in quarterly revenue, indicating a substantial expansion in business activity.

The growth is particularly noteworthy because Kross operates in the automotive component industry, where demand is influenced by commercial vehicle production, customer orders and broader industrial activity.

Net profit increased 143.5% year-on-year to ₹19.69 crore, compared with approximately ₹8.08 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Profit therefore grew considerably faster than revenue, indicating that the company benefited from stronger operating performance and improved profitability.

Sequentially, net profit increased approximately 47.9% from ₹13.31 crore in the June quarter of FY27.

Revenue also increased approximately 27.5% quarter-on-quarter from ₹184.34 crore, suggesting that the latest performance was not driven solely by a favourable comparison with the previous year.

One of the most important highlights was the sharp improvement in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation, commonly known as EBITDA.

EBITDA increased 107.4% year-on-year to ₹30.60 crore, compared with ₹14.75 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26.

This indicates that operating earnings more than doubled, supported by higher business volumes and improved operational efficiency.

The EBITDA margin expanded to 13.0%, compared with 11.3% a year earlier.

This improvement of approximately 175 basis points suggests that the company retained a larger proportion of its revenue as operating profit.

For an automotive component manufacturer, margin expansion is particularly significant because profitability can be affected by raw material prices, manufacturing efficiency and customer pricing arrangements.

Kross also reported an improvement in its profit after tax margin to approximately 8.4%, compared with 6.2% in the corresponding quarter of FY26.

The 220-basis-point improvement indicates that the company’s stronger operating performance translated into higher bottom-line profitability.

Basic earnings per share increased to approximately ₹3.08 from ₹1.25 a year earlier, reflecting the sharp improvement in net earnings.

The company’s performance was also encouraging over the first six months of FY27. Revenue from operations during H1 FY27 increased 55.2% year-on-year to ₹419.43 crore, compared with ₹270.28 crore in H1 FY26.

EBITDA for the first half increased 72.4% to ₹53.32 crore, indicating that operating profit growth remained ahead of revenue growth.

The first-half EBITDA margin improved to approximately 12.7%, compared with 11.4% in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

Profit after tax for H1 FY27 increased 76.5% year-on-year to ₹33.16 crore, compared with ₹18.78 crore a year earlier. These numbers indicate that the company’s earnings improvement extends beyond a single quarter.

Kross manufactures components used in commercial vehicles and other automotive applications, making the performance of vehicle manufacturers and component supply chains important to its future growth.

The company has also highlighted capacity expansion initiatives and backward integration as part of its operational development.

One area of attention is its axle beam extrusion capacity expansion, which could support future manufacturing capabilities as projects progress.

However, investors should distinguish between planned capacity additions and actual commercial contributions because new facilities may require time to stabilise production and utilisation.

Backward integration could potentially improve control over manufacturing processes, supply reliability and production costs.

The benefits will depend on execution, capital requirements, production efficiency and the ability to secure adequate customer demand.

Kross operates in an industry where customer concentration, commercial vehicle cycles, steel prices and working capital requirements can materially influence financial performance.

Companies such as Bharat Forge, Ramkrishna Forgings and other listed automotive component manufacturers provide useful sector comparisons, although their product portfolios, business scales and customer mixes differ.

For investors following Kross, the key indicators in coming quarters will include revenue growth, EBITDA margins, capacity utilisation, operating cash flow and the conversion of expansion projects into sustainable earnings.

The Q2 FY27 results demonstrate substantial improvement in revenue and profitability. The next challenge will be maintaining this performance as the company expands capacity and navigates changing automotive industry demand.
