Narayana Vaishno Devi Specialty Hospitals Private Limited (NVDSHPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, has reached a revised understanding with the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board regarding the operation and management of its hospital in Katra, Jammu.

NVDSHPL had originally entered into a long-term Concessionaire Agreement with the Shrine Board in 2014 to operate, maintain, and manage the 230-bed multi-specialty hospital under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. As part of the latest development, the Shrine Board has initiated the establishment of a medical college at Katra, Jammu & Kashmir, under a newly formed legal entity, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Charitable Society.

The hospital will now function as an affiliated teaching hospital, ensuring compliance with regulations set by the National Medical Commission (NMC). NVDSHPL will continue to provide supervisory oversight of hospital operations until 2033, leveraging its expertise in healthcare management, training, and brand value.

This revised arrangement aims to enhance medical education and healthcare services in the region, aligning with the Shrine Board’s vision of providing quality healthcare and education to the community.
