One MobiKwik Q2 FY27 Results: ₹59,677 Crore GMV, Profitability and Business Outlook Explained
One MobiKwik Systems reported its Q2 FY27 financial results on November 2, 2026, delivering its highest-ever quarterly profit after tax and EBITDA. The September quarter marked the company’s fourth consecutive profitable quarter, reflecting improvements in operating efficiency and digital payment activity.
Consolidated revenue from operations increased to ₹295.7 crore from ₹270.2 crore in Q2 FY26, representing approximately 9% year-on-year growth. Total income rose 8% to ₹302.8 crore, indicating steady expansion in the company’s reported business income.
The most significant development was the improvement in profitability. MobiKwik reported consolidated profit after tax of ₹11.8 crore, compared with a net loss of ₹28.6 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, representing a positive earnings swing of ₹40.4 crore.
Profitability also strengthened sequentially, with PAT increasing approximately 55% from the previous quarter. This improvement suggests that the company has maintained positive earnings while expanding its payments and financial services operations.
EBITDA reached ₹22.7 crore, compared with a loss of ₹6.4 crore in Q2 FY26. The ₹29.1 crore year-on-year improvement marked the company’s highest quarterly EBITDA and reflected stronger operating performance.
The reported EBITDA margin improved to 7.5% from negative 2.3% a year earlier. Compared with the previous quarter’s 5.5%, the improvement indicates that revenue growth and cost efficiency contributed to operating profitability.
MobiKwik’s platform gross merchandise value reached ₹59,677 crore, representing 35% year-on-year growth. This quarterly record highlights the expanding transaction volumes processed through the company’s digital payments ecosystem.
However, GMV should not be confused with company revenue. It measures the value of transactions processed through the platform, while MobiKwik earns income through its payments, merchant services and other monetisation arrangements.
Merchant payments remained an important growth driver during the quarter. The company reported approximately 150% year-on-year growth in merchant payments revenue, demonstrating increased business activity within this segment.
The broader payments business recorded 35% GMV growth, supported by particularly strong merchant transaction volumes. Payments gross margin improved as direct costs declined, even though revenue in the segment remained broadly stable.
Financial services also contributed to the quarterly performance. Lending disbursal GMV increased 34% year-on-year to ₹1,082.6 crore, compared with ₹807.1 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26.
The company crossed the ₹1,000 crore quarterly lending disbursal milestone, reflecting increased activity through its lending partnerships. Investors should distinguish these disbursals from loans directly held on MobiKwik’s balance sheet.
Financial services revenue increased approximately 42% year-on-year, supported by higher lending activity. Improved credit quality and reduced lending-related expenses also contributed to stronger profitability within the segment.
Contribution profit increased 50% to ₹143.9 crore from ₹96.1 crore in Q2 FY26. This was an important indicator because it demonstrated improved earnings after accounting for direct business-related costs.
The contribution margin expanded to 47.5% from 34.4% a year earlier. The improvement suggests that a greater proportion of income was available to cover fixed operating expenses and support profitability.
Cost management remained central to the company’s operating performance. Payments-related direct expenses declined approximately 13% year-on-year, while lending-related expenses decreased around 16%, according to its investor presentation.
Nevertheless, fixed costs increased as MobiKwik invested in personnel, merchant operations and business expansion. Sustaining profitability will require contribution growth to continue outpacing these additional operating expenses.
The company also highlighted increasing adoption of artificial intelligence across engineering, lending, customer experience and risk management. Management reported extensive AI-assisted software development and customer support automation as part of its operating strategy.
MobiKwik has outlined an ambition to become an AI-first organisation by FY28. While automation could support efficiency, the financial benefits will depend on implementation costs, service quality, security and measurable productivity improvements.
Co-founder, Managing Director and CEO Bipin Preet Singh highlighted the fourth consecutive profitable quarter, expanding lending disbursals and strong merchant payments growth. Management expects operating leverage and cost optimisation to remain important drivers of its business model.
Despite the improved results, investors should monitor transaction monetisation, competitive pressure in digital payments, lending partner relationships, regulatory developments and the sustainability of margins. Rising payment volumes alone do not guarantee proportionate growth in revenue or earnings.
Overall, One MobiKwik Q2 FY27 results indicate a meaningful improvement in profitability, supported by record GMV, stronger contribution margins and expanding financial services activity. The key question for future quarters is whether the company can sustain profitable growth while managing competition, costs and business risks.
