Shree Refrigerations H1 FY27 Results: Profit Surges 361%, Revenue Jumps 85%
Shree Refrigerations Limited has reported strong financial growth for the first half of FY27, supported by higher revenue, improved operating profitability and continued demand for specialised cooling systems. The company’s latest results highlight its expanding presence in defence, marine and industrial refrigeration applications.
The company reported revenue from operations of ₹93.2 crore for the six months ended September 30, 2026. This represented an 84.9% increase from ₹50.4 crore in the corresponding period of FY26, reflecting significant growth in its operating scale.
Profit after tax increased approximately 361% year-on-year to ₹6.8 crore, compared with ₹1.5 crore in H1 FY26. The sharp increase indicates that profitability improved considerably faster than revenue during the reporting period.
Operating EBITDA rose 123.6% to ₹12.7 crore from ₹5.7 crore a year earlier. This improvement suggests that higher business volumes and operating efficiencies contributed positively to the company’s earnings performance.
The EBITDA margin expanded to 13.6% from 11.2%, representing an improvement of approximately 235 basis points. The stronger margin indicates better operating profitability despite the company’s continued investment in manufacturing capabilities.
Net profit margin also improved, reaching approximately 7.3% compared with 2.9% in the previous year. This improvement demonstrates how the company converted a greater proportion of revenue into bottom-line earnings.
However, the latest numbers should be evaluated in the context of the company’s reporting structure. Shree Refrigerations publishes half-yearly financial results, meaning these figures represent H1 FY27 rather than a separately disclosed July–September quarterly performance.
The comparison with the immediately preceding half-year also provides an important perspective. H2 FY26 revenue was approximately ₹103.2 crore, indicating that H1 FY27 revenue was lower sequentially despite its strong year-on-year growth.
Operating margins also moderated compared with the 26.3% EBITDA margin reported during H2 FY26. This difference highlights the importance of project execution schedules, revenue recognition and operating leverage when evaluating the company’s profitability.
One of the most important business indicators is the company’s outstanding order book. As of September 30, 2026, Shree Refrigerations reported an unexecuted order book of ₹198.9 crore, equivalent to approximately 1.3 times its FY26 revenue.
This order book provides visibility into potential future revenue, subject to project execution and customer delivery schedules. However, investors should distinguish between confirmed orders and revenue that has already been recognised in the financial statements.
Shree Refrigerations specialises in heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems for demanding operating environments. Its products serve applications where reliability, engineering quality and specialised performance requirements are particularly important.
The defence and marine segments represent a significant part of the company’s business positioning. Its capabilities include specialised air-conditioning systems used in naval applications, where equipment must meet stringent operational and technical requirements.
Manufacturing expansion is another important development. Shree Refrigerations commissioned its second manufacturing unit on June 20, 2026, adding approximately 50,000 square feet of operational space with potential expansion capacity.
The facility includes additional manufacturing equipment and processes designed to improve production efficiency, quality control and internal capabilities. Management expects these investments to support larger project execution requirements.
The company has also indicated that the new manufacturing unit benefits from capital expenditure incentives under the Maharashtra government’s Package Scheme of Incentives. Such support can improve project economics, although actual benefits depend on applicable conditions.
Another notable development involves the company’s credit profile. CARE Ratings upgraded its long-term bank facilities into the investment-grade category, reflecting improvements in operating scale, liquidity and financial performance.
Shree Refrigerations is also exploring opportunities in industrial refrigeration and data-centre cooling. The company incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, Aquilon Limited, in October 2026 to pursue manufacturing opportunities involving industrial subzero-temperature chillers.
Despite the positive developments, investors should monitor working capital requirements, project execution, margin volatility and the company’s ability to convert its order book into profitable revenue. Comparisons with larger industrial cooling and engineering companies must also account for differences in scale and business mix.
Shree Refrigerations H1 FY27 performance demonstrates substantial year-on-year growth alongside manufacturing expansion and defence-sector recognition. The next important indicators will be order execution, sustainable operating margins, cash generation and the commercial progress of its newer industrial cooling initiatives.
